Glenda Hossley


   Glenda Hossley, 78, recent resident of North Bend, Oregon passed peacefully Saturday October 15, 2016 with family present. 

   Glenda was born in Lubbock, Texas to Glenn Hugh Dobkins and Wilma Alvina (Thacker) Dobkins January 28, 1938.  She grew up in several small communities around West Texas and a few years in Guatemala.  She married U.S. Air Force pilot, Don Hossley, in 1957 and together they lived in several locations around the US and the world.  Don passed away in 1986. They had two sons, David Hossley and Jim (Margot) Hossley of North Bend, Oregon. 

   She is survived by her grandchildren, Kristina, Alessandra, and Nicholas Hossley all of Corvallis, Oregon; her sister Cliva (Dan) Griffin of Fort Worth, Texas; her aunt Carmen Drake of Austin, Texas; many  nephews and nieces; and numerous cousins.

   Glenda was a sweet and gentle person who passionately loved her family and adored her friends.

   We will honor the memory of Glenda, who is now in the arms of her Lord Jesus Christ, at a memorial service to be held 1 p.m. Friday November 11, 2016 at Family Worship Center, 2050 Lincoln Street, North Bend, Oregon.

    I will miss Glenda so much. We were best friends when our husbands were stationed in France. I will cherish the many wonderful memories we shared, our trips, our dogs, the coffees with all our neighbors. She left this world way too soo.
