Joe Lee Bomar passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2016. He was born in Silverton, Texas on March 7, 1934 to Lee D. and Jessie Bomar. He attended New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, MM. and married Wayma Callaway in 1954.
Joe farmed for 22 years in Silverton and moved to Amarillo in 1975, where he pursued a career in Real Estate. Joe was an avid collector and restorer of Chevy trucks. He loved building, gardening and family gatherings. He was loved by many and will be missed greatly.
Joe was preceded in death by his son, Kelly Lee Bomar in March of this year. He is survived by a sister, Patsy Nann Fitzgerald of Silverton, 2 daughters, Kaedean Hammond of Amarillo and Kathryn Bomar Stoner of Louisville, Kentucky. He is also survived by 3 grandsons, Joshua and Ryan Bomar of Crown Point, IN., Ky Williams of Austin, a granddaughter, Katelyn Hammond of Austin and a great granddaughter, Bianca Bomar of Crown Point, IN.
Joe was laid to rest Sunday, October 23rd at Silverton Cemetery.
