Briscoe County youth place in “Big Fun” 4-H contests

Briscoe County had 20 4-Hers participate in the “Big Fun in D1” District Contest in Canyon.

To start the contests off, there were 300 youth from 22 counties in the panhandle that participated in the Food Challenge contest this past weekend.

Briscoe County 4-H had 3 teams compete in the 4-H Food Challenge Contest. For the Intermediate category, Kooper Cox, Jordin Lynn, Emily Gamble, Kaitlyn Gamble, and Elizabeth Mahaney Holt. This team received 4th place.

For the Junior category, Brenna Francis, Aubrey Francis, Maddie Francis, Madison Gamble, and Cooper Mullins received 2nd place. Also in the junior category, Vanessa Beltran, Aspen Miller, Kilee Lynn, Abigail Walton, and Gavin Davis received 4th place.

Other contests were Quiz Bowls. Briscoe County had 1 team that competed in the Quiz Bowls contest. The Senior Swine Quiz Bowl team consisted of Blaine Patton, Zack Patton, Daniel Walton, and Brett Ramirez received 3rdplace.

Briscoe County was well represented by all these individuals!
