Marvin Self selected for WT Athletic Hall of Champions

Marvin Self, son of J. L. Self and Winona Fay Self, 1972 Graduate of Silverton High School and 1976 Graduate of West Texas State University, has been selected for Induction into the WT Athletic Hall of Champions. Marvin was a student of Coach Bob Kitchens, who was recently featured for his induction into the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Hall of Fame. Marvin is currently the Principal of Post High School. He will be honored at the WT Athletic Hall of Champions Induction Ceremony on Friday, February 24 in Canyon.

Spring 1974 Outdoor Season: 3rd Place Discus Missouri Valley Conference Championships

Spring 1974 Outdoor Season: 4th Place Shot Missouri Valley Conference Championships

Fall 1974 Indoor Season: 4th Place Shot Missouri Valley Conference Championships

Spring 1975 Outdoor Season: 1st Place Discus Missouri Valley Conference Championships

Spring 1975 Outdoor Season: 3rd Place Shot Missouri Valley Conference Championships

Spring 1975 Outdoor Season: 4th Place Javelin Missouri Valley Conference Championships

Fall 1975 Indoor Season: 3rd Place Shot Missouri Valley Conference Championships

Spring 1976 Outdoor Season: 1st Place Discus Missouri Valley Conference Championships

Spring 1976: Received the WT Tommy Bryant Memorial Award – WT Outstanding Trackman
