On May 22, 2017 at the age of 35, Nathan Wayne Schrandt passed away. He was surrounded by his family who held him and loved him as he took his last breaths. Nathan was born on September 24, 1981 in Hereford, Texas to Wayne and Janet Schrandt. Nathan attended Amarillo High School and was part of the Class of 2000.
Nathan was known as a one of a kind individual and remembered by all for his wit and loyal nature. He was a fierce protector of his family and friends and loved by many. He led a remarkable life, creating memories everywhere he went; and in his final days was showered with affection from friends and family who gathered to relive those memories. Nathan was one of four siblings who loved each other above all.
Nathan is preceded in death by his father, Wayne Schrandt. He is survived by his mother, Janet Schrandt, his brother Aaron Schrandt and his wife Kaylynn, his sister Amber Schrandt, his brother Nicholas Schrandt and his nephews and niece in addition to a number of cousins who he considered as close as his siblings, aunts, uncles and his grandmother LaNelle Montague.
Services were held at the Lake Tanglewood Community Church on Thursday, May 25, 2017, at 10:00 AM with burial immediately following at Grey Mule Cemetery in Quitaque, Texas.
