AMARILLO – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) seized 82 pounds of marijuana and more than nine pounds of THC edibles Monday after a Texas Highway Patrol Trooper stopped a vehicle in Carson County.
At approximately 11:47 a.m., a DPS Trooper stopped a 2017 Ford Taurus traveling east on I-40 near Conway for a traffic violation. A DPS canine unit was called to the scene and alerted on the vehicle. The Trooper then discovered multiple vacuum-sealed packages of marijuana and THC edibles inside the trunk. The illegal drugs are worth approximately $554,000.
The driver, Casey Erb, 36, of Arvada Colo., was arrested and charged with felony possession of marijuana. Erb was transported and booked into the Carson County jail.
