Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Seizure

On the afternoon of Monday February 26 th , 2018 at about 4pm a Hall County Sheriff’s Deputy
conducted a traffic stop along U.S. Hwy 287 at mile post 202 with a 2007 Honda Civic. During
the course of the traffic stop the deputy became suspicious of criminal activity and the Hall
County Sheriff’s Office K-9 alerted to the presence of controlled substances. A search of the
vehicle yielded over 30 pounds of marijuana and over 7,500 grams of marijuana products. It is
believed the drugs were being transported to Conroe, Texas from Northern California. A 28
year old male from Conroe, Texas and a 28 year old female from Conroe, Texas were both
arrested and charged with felony Possession of Marijuana and felony Possession of a controlled
substances. Both suspects were booked into the Hall County Jail with bonds totaling $45,000
each.
All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
