Molly Forman, Briscoe County Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Agent, is starting the Egg to Chick project with Silverton Elementary.
The students paired up and wrote their initials on an egg, so they could monitor their egg through the process. The eggs were then placed in an incubator that will be kept in the classrooms.
The students will monitor the incubators with thermometers to ensure that the temperature is staying at 100 degrees. The eggs should take 21 days to start the hatching process.
