CHILDRESS – The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will begin a project on June 13 to add safety features to various highways in the Childress District.
This $422,372 project will consist of installing rumble strips on the center line in some locations to help prevent crossover crashes and on shoulders to prevent run off the road crashes.
This is a mobile operation, and the contractor, Texas Panhandle Construction, Inc., will use advance warning signs on the roadway. Motorists should slow down when in the work zone and watch for slow moving construction equipment.

Briscoe SH 86 12 miles East of FM 3030 to the Hall county line

Collingsworth FM 338 US 83 East to the Oklahoma state line
Collingsworth FM 1056 FM 147 East for FM 338
This project should be complete in three months, weather permitting.
