Former state historian O’Neal speaks at Hotel Matador, Sept. 2020

O'Neal gives talk at Hotel Matador group Sept 2020_courtesy_edFormer state historian of Texas Bill O’Neal of Carthage, Texas, gave a rousing talk at the Hotel Matador reception and book signing at which he was welcomed by Allison Kendrick, executive director of the Texas Plains Trail, and Marisue Potts of the Motley County Museum. The event was designed to promote heritage tourism and draw people back to Matador and Motley County.

The hosts joined the party of 25 to feast and hear an entertaining tale about Panhandle history: (left to right0 Ellen Fowlkes, Ann McFall, Suzanne Abbott, Ken Abbott, Deanie Edwards and Ellen Masterson.
