STAFF REPORTS

First National Bank of Quitaque has given a generous donation of $50,000 to Silverton Downtown Association for the Silverton Downtown Agricultural and Community Center. Bank president Guy Young presented the check to the SDA board of directors this past fall.

“We are so grateful to have the support of Briscoe County community members and businesses, and we can’t wait to see this community center come to fruition,” said Shandy Beedy on behalf of the association.

The community center has already begun construction and is 94% funded.

SDA is asking the community to consider giving a donation to meet the last 6% of the funds needed. This is a great opportunity to give in memory of or in honor of a loved one, leaving a legacy for many years to come. To make a donation or give a memorial to the new facility, please contact an SDA member.

Contact an SDA member (Lori Mullins, Brandi Ziegler, Kendra Burson, Brooke Burson, Shandy Beedy, Elizabeth Adams, Kelby Brock, or Holly Cogdell) to make a donation or mail in at P.O. Box 242, Silverton, TX 79257.
