LADIES OF THE (SPAGHETTI) NIGHT Olive-based puttanesca sauce is easy and quick, and—despite the salacious origins of its name—a nice change from a usual spaghetti night. | Angelina LaRue photo
Olives pack lots of flavor. They add a salty, brininess that can’t be matched. When I’m eating light and want to add richness and depth to a salad or pasta, for example, I reach for olives.
There are so many varieties to choose from, and even more options when you consider stuffed olives. I often enjoy large olives stuffed with garlic and jalapeno. Or ones spiced with peppery red chile.
