Motley Commissioners discuss American Rescue Funds

During the regular meeting of the Motley County Commissioners on July 12, the court approved line-item transfers, monthly bills and reports. The purchase of a leaf blower for the custodian was approved, and a fire school was planned for the commissioners, which will take place on July 26.

The court voted to name Marilynn Hicks to the MHMR Central Plains Board.

Discussion was held regarding uses for American Rescue funds. Further clarification of the guidelines is expected.

An order was approved to establish criteria for redistricting of political boundaries. The members voted to work with a law firm to accomplish this.

The court participated in a budget workshop, during which the county clerk, treasurer, and maintenance employee were approved to receive a pay raise.
