A 78-year-old Childress woman was killed the morning of August 13 after swerving into the path of a semi truck on US Highway 62 north of Paducah.
Linda Seal of Childress, Texas was driving northbound on US 62, 1.5 miles north of FM 144 a 2021 Ford SUV shortly in after 9 a.m. and entered a curve in the roadway. The pavement was wet, and it was raining.
