A small group of trail seekers met in Quitaque Nov. 2 to share information about their individual knowledge of a merchant’s trail blazed from Mobeetie, Texas, to Rath City, near Hamlin. A call from trail expert Neal Odom of Wellington to Tai Kreidler at the Texas Tech Southwest Collection prompted an email roundup of some local experts with maps and accounts from county or regional history…
