THE RACE WAS ON as the fishery expert began releasing trout into the cool waters of Lake Theo in Caprock Canyons last week.
Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) transported 1,800 rainbow trout from a fishery in Electra, Texas for release into Lake Theo last week. Witnessed by several park employees including newly hired Park Interpreter, Natalie Smith, the event was quite the site to behold. Park rangers have monitored the lake since the release and report that the newly introduced trout seem to be thriving well.
