Areas of the Texas Panhandle and Plains saw snow and ice last week, and although the frozen stuff didn’t stay long the roads were treacherous for a while on Wednesday. Newspaper carrier Johnathan Brewer took this view heading east off the caprock between Silverton and Quitaque. Snow is predicted again for Feb. 3, with near-zero temperatures through much of the region.
