Spur’s Whitefield, longtime GM of Cap Rock Telephone, passes away Feb. 18

Jimmy Whitefield of Spur, Texas, was born on March 5, 1943, in Memphis, Texas, to John and Stella Whitefield. He was the youngest of seven children, with three older brothers and three older sisters who all preceded him in death: Janice Dixon, Johnnie Vines, Chloe Garrett, Alden Whitefield, Harvey Whitefield and Stanley Whitefield.
