The Valley Patriots varsity boys basketball team, last year’s State runners-up, have begun their march toward the Alamodome by winning the Area championship over the Borden County Coyotes Friday night at Lubbock Cooper Liberty, 54-23. They were scheduled to face the Happy CowboysTuesday, March 3 for the Regional championship.
