Inetha was born July 15, 1920, in Gasoline, Texas, to Vaughn and Grace (Ebbs) Chandler. She lived her entire life in Briscoe County. Inetha (Iney, as she was known to most everyone) married B.K. (Pete) Blankenship on January 13, 1949, in Clovis, New Mexico. They were married for 58 years before Pete passed away in 2007.
Iney was a rural mail carrier for 44 years and would help Pete on the farm in the afternoons, whether it was driving a tractor or driving a truck to haul wheat to the elevator. They were avid sports fans and attended many basketball and football games at both Quitaque and later Valley. In the summer, they enjoyed watching their nephews, Kenny and Kirby, play softball.
Iney was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Pete; her son-in-law, Bill Pigg; and her 13 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Karol Pigg, of Quitaque; Ken Chandler and wife Lisa of Gunter, Texas; Kirby and wife Tammy of Frisco, Texas; Alex, Madison and Lee Jacobs of Dallas, Texas; Karson Chandler of San Diego California; Cooper Chandler of Frisco, Texas; Josh, Kaci, Jackson, Maddox and Rae Roberson of Anna, Texas; and her two grand-dogs Pistol and Addie of Quitaque; along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
