SILVERTON—Heraclio S. Ramirez, age 93, of Silverton, Texas, passed away, Wednesday, October 19, 2022. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 22, 2022 at the Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church in Silverton, with Father Arturo Meza officiating. Interment followed at the Silverton Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 21, 2022 at the Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church. Arrangements are under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home.

Heraclio Silva Ramirez was born October 13, 1929 in San Benito Texas, to Luz and Andrea Ramirez. He married Esther Mercado on November 15, 1954 in Floydada, Texas, and they were married for 63 years. They made their home in Silverton, where he was a farm laborer for several Briscoe County farmers, including the Burson, Long, Francis and Parker families, among others. In his free time he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons Mike Ramirez and wife, Sandra, of Corpus Christi, Texas, Ruben and wife, Jane, of Amarillo, Texas, Rudy of Silverton, Heraclio Jr. of Silverton, Juan and Tamra of Midlothian, Texas, Roque of Silverton, and Rene of Seattle, Washington; three daughters; Elsa Martinez and husband, Nick, of Canyon, Texas, Aida Jones and husband, Brent, of Canyon, and Joann Yarbrough and husband, Tony, of Amarillo; a brother, Jose Ramirez of Plainview, Texas; 21 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Esther Ramirez; daughter Maria Elena Ramirez; granddaughter Alexandra Ramirez; and siblings Luquitas Martinez, Crescencio Ramirez, Ofelia Andaverde, Hortencia Ramirez, Maria Garcia Jovita Ortiz and Alfredo Ramirez
