This year 2022 has been a disaster for Motley County with dryland cotton, feed and wheat crops not being planted due to lack of rain. Excessive heat and dry weather has been a challenge to the ranching and livestock operations. It is getting old, but LaNina remains and is unfavorable for precipitation during the winter.
