The Silverton Owls took down the Groom Tigers on Friday night to officially clinch the district title for the 2023–24 high school basketball season.
The Tigers kept things close in the first quarter, trailing 11-7 early. A stellar defensive effort from the Owls held Groom to just two points in the second quarter, allowing Silverton to build a double-digit halftime lead.
