Jeanette Lane Judd, age 80, passed away on March 14, 2025, in Amarillo, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 21. 2025, at Country Crossroads Church in Amarillo, with Pastor Bob Miller officiating. Interment will follow the service at 3:00 p.m. at Dreamland Cemetery in Turkey, Texas. Arrangements are under the care of the Moore-Rose Funeral Home.
Jeanette was born August 5, 1944 to Boyd and Iona Lyles Lane in Matador, Texas. She was raised in Turkey on the family farm and graduated from Turkey High School in 1962. She married Robert Judd in Amarillo in July 1965, raising two sons and making a great home for her family.
Jeanette worked for Wayne Rogers Bookkeeping, Bob Blair Transport, San Jacinto Printing, and Boots and Jeans before moving her family to Wheeler, Texas, in 1985. There she went to work for Beef Cattle until moving back to Amarillo in 1999, going to work for Jack Sizemore Traveland before retiring to work for Sitel and Always Answer. Jeanette made many friends everywhere she went along her journey.
Jeanette and Robert ended their marriage in 1994 but remained friends till his passing in 2010.
Jeanette was a member of Crossroads Country Church in Amarillo. She loved her Lord and Savior, her family, her church family and all her friends dearly. She had a heart of gold and loved helping her friends and family. She enjoyed celebrating holidays and birthdays and anytime there was a family gathering or class get together she was present and accounted for. She loved laughing and having a good time with her friends and family. She was the best mom, sister, daughter, cousin, homemaker, provider, cook, friend and grandmother.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her grandparents, Willie Edgar and Nettie Stewart Lyles and Charles Patrick and Donnie Grace Hoffman Lane; her parents, Boyd and Iona Lyles Lane; her little brother, Perry Lane; and cousin Celia Johnson, as well as her good friend Jodi Hughes.
She is survived by her sons, Jason Judd of Pampa, Texas, and Bryan Judd and wife Angela of South Jordan, Utah; grandkids Garrett Judd (27) of Dumas, Texas, Evan Judd (24) and fiancé Sydnee Leverich of Abilene, Texas, and Jacee Judd (23) of Amarillo, Texas, and Logan Judd (9), Connor Judd (7), and Dylan Judd (4) of south Jordan, Utah, great-grandkid Elaina Judd (5); a sister, Donna Proctor and husband William of Amarillo, Texas; and brother BK Lane and wife Jo of Haskell, Texas. She is also survived by a good friend, Linda Hink, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends.
The family would like to give a special recognition to Jimbo Robison and Dutch and Kay Byrum for their friendship and helping her when her sons couldn’t be there.
