GOLD IN THE 100m In the girls 100m hurdles event, Maddie Francis, a senior from Silverton and the middle track-standout sister in her family, crossed the finish line as the State champion in the event with a new Conference 1A time of 14.53.

Francis sisters shine at 1A State meet
Silverton ISD had two competitors in the 1A State track meet May 16 at Mike A. Myers Stadium. Senior Maddie Francis made a return trip to the event, joined by her sister, freshman Laney Francis.
