Glenda was born on May 24, 1945, to Lonzo and Elsie Lynn. She was blessed to spend her entire childhood and school years at Four Corners and Matador, where she loved school as a child and being part of a large, and loving family.

Being one of nine children, she learned to compete at an early age. This competitive spirit carried over into her school years, where her love of sports helped her excel in athletics as an outstanding athlete. She graduated from Matador High School in 1963.

She married Don Burditt in 1964 and had her treasured daughter, Becky, in 1966. From 1964 to 1979 they lived on various ranches throughout the Texas Panhandle, New Mexico and Colorado, where she cooked for cowboys and assisted with ranch life.

In 1979, she and Becky journeyed from the ranch world into a new way of life. For the next 38 years she forged her way in the oil and gas industry. Working her way up from the bottom, she worked relentlessly to carve a career in a predominantly male industry; not only did she succeed, she became a well respected colleague and boss to many who became like family to her.

After retirement, she moved back to her childhood home of Matador, where she spent her time enjoying her family and friends. She enjoyed helping at church and checking in on folks in the town and providing her special treats to many.

If you were fortunate enough to know this bundle of energy, you loved her. She had the unique ability to talk to anyone and everyoneand climb her way into your heart. She had a love of baking that flowed over into her love of people, and if you were one of the fortunate who ever had her cinnamon rolls or bread you would swear she was an angel sent from heaven with her culinary delights.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lonzo and Elsie Lynn; sisters, Virginia Lynn, Ruthie Lynn McCallie and Carlene Lynn Colwell; brothers, Max Lynn and Alvin Lynn; brother-in-law Bob Morton; and grandson Roper Copelin.

Left to cherish her is daughter Becky Shaw and husband Rickey, daughter Tangela Copelin and husband Ernie; granddaughters Jessie Silvers and husband Mike, Jaci Kittley and husband Kade, and grandson Reid Copelin and wife Candice; her beloved greatgrandchildren, Adam and Jamon, Elli, Emmitt, Everrett and Ivy; sisters Joyce Morton, Deanie Edwards and husband Tom, Gail Noland and husband Larry; sisters-in-law Nadyne Lynn and Marianne Lynn; and brother-in-law Jack Mc-Callie and wife Celia. She left behind many cherished nieces and nephews. Also, with her heart that overflowed with love, she left behind many “adopted” children and grandchildren.
