Jeanne Watson Williams, age 81, peacefully passed away on January 7, 2025, surrounded by family at her home in Wolfforth, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., January 11, 2025, at East Mound Cemetery in Matador, Texas. Open visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., before the service, at the Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Floydada. Arrangements under the personal care of the Moore-Rose Funeral Homes.
Jeanne was born on October 29, 1943, to Horace and Cleo (Yandell) Watson in Roaring Springs, Texas. She attended school in Roaring Springs, graduating in 1962. She married Bobby Gene Williams on July 14, 1962, in Plainview, Texas. Jeanne and Bobby were blessed with one daughter, Paige. Jeanne worked for over 34 years at Farm Service Agency. She was an active member of the Matador Methodist Church. After her retirement she enjoyed the Kitchen Bible Study. But her favorite thing of all was being a Gigi to Zoe Grace and Madilyn Paige.
Jeanne was proceeded in death by her parents and her husband, Bobby Gene Williams, and her sister, Mary Watson Lefevre.
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Paige Barnes and husband, Bryan; her precious granddaughters, Zoe Grace Barnes and Madilyn Paige Barnes; her brothers, Larry Watson and Monty Watson; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Lubbock Hospice for their compassionate care of Jeanne. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to the Matador Methodist Church or the Motley County Senior Citizens.
