Jeffrey Hal Braselton, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, was born on December 30, 1961, in Matador, Texas. He peacefully finished his race at his ranch, surrounded by loved ones, on April 1, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and generosity that will forever be remembered.

Jeff's heart was filled with immense love for his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Debbie Braselton, with whom he shared countless treasured memories and built a life filled with love and laughter. His memory will also be cherished by his step-daughters Nichole Watson, Valorie Thomas, stepson Chris Hartline and his wife Jennifer, daughter Heather West and her husband Matthew, daughter Kory Vaughan and her husband Mike, son Sean Braselton, daughter Erin Braselton, daughter Haley Jefferson and her husband Josh, brother Steven Braselton and Mike McKaskle, stepmother Francine Braselton, stepfather Ronald McCulloch, along with his 18 grandchildren Lexi, Jayden, Myles, Tyra, Kaylan, Closer, Enrique, Abbigail, Brayden, CJ, Afton, Hudson, Everly, Riley, Kristen, Kinzee, James, Jameson, and one great grandchild Halo, all of whom he loved with all of his heart. Jeff was preceded in death by his daughter Kristen Braselton, mother Karmen McCulloch, and father Sut Braselton.

Jeff's life was marked by his unwavering commitment to his community, his family and to his faith. He was a man of integrity, known for his generosity, humor and zest for life. His passion for hunting, fishing and spending quality time with loved ones brought joy to all who knew him. Jeff attended Midway Church and was passionately involved in numerous other ministries in the surrounding area. He boldly shared his faith with every person he could and was dedicated to telling people about how Christ’s love could change their lives.

As the founder and CEO of Smith Southern Equipment for 30 years, and the owner of several other businesses, Jeff brought unparalleled entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to his endeavors. Yet his greatest legacy lies in the lives he touched and the countless individuals he mentored along the way. His faith was the cornerstone of his life, and he lived each day with purpose, serving as a guiding light to those around him.

Jeff Braselton's memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us in the days ahead.

In this time of grief, let us find solace in the memories we shared with Jeff and take comfort in knowing that he has found eternal peace in the loving embrace of our Heavenly Father.

Rest easy, Jeff. You fought the good fight, you finished the race, you kept the faith.

Funeral Services were held on Saturday April 6, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Roaring Springs Full Gospel Church. Interment followed at Roaring Springs Cemetery under the direction of Zapata Funeral Home.
