MATADOR— John Spencer Wallingsford, 53, of Matador, Texas, was born March 29, 1969 in Lockney, Texas, to Jerome H. and Martha L. (Beavers) Wallingsford. He graduated from Motley County High School in 1988. He worked at Lowe’s Groceries in Matador for 20 years and at Allsup’s for two months. He enjoyed collecting eagles and knives.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerome Wallingford. John is survived by his mother, Martha L. Beavers Wallingford of Matador; and brothers Joe Wallingford of Matador, Jay Wallingsford of Purdon, Texas, and Jim Wallingsford and wife Kathy and children of Purdon, Texas.
The memorial service for John will be held at Roaring Springs Full Gospel Church on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.
