Margie Ruth Moore was born August 13, 1939, in Loraine, Texas, in Mitchell County, to Marlin and Ruth Moore. Margie was the eldest of three children, and she loved her siblings and parents with all her heart. Family was all that mattered to Margie. She attended school in Loraine and worked on the farm with her family; this was the greatest life Marge could ever have imagined.
She attended college In Abilene, Texas, and Galveston, Texas, and received a degree as a registered nurse. Margie worked as a nurse in Snyder, Big Spring and Colorado City; nursing was Margie’s calling in life.
Margie married Brumbach Stephens II on August 22, 1961; out of this union a child, Brumbach Stephens III, was born.
Margie married Billy Pinkerton on May 23, 1969: out of this union two children were born, Vera Ruth Pinkerton and Thomas Andrew Pinkerton. After her marriage to Billy, she relocated to Turkey, Texas, and cared for her family. Eventually she became a school nurse in Silverton, Texas, working there until her retirement. She enjoyed every minute of her career. After retirement she cared for anyone she could in the community. When Margie was not caring for the sick or preparing for a jamboree, she volunteered at the Rooster Museum or getting ready for Bob Wills Day. She was a devout member of the Church of Christ; Margie came to love the Lord at an early age with her loving parents.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Marlin and Ruth Moore; her husband Billy Pinkerton; her brother Stanley Andrew Moore; her sister Wanda Faye Bynum; and two loving nephews, Paul Bynum and Craig Pinkerton.
Margie is survived by her children, Brumbach Stephens III (wife, Lori), Vera Hammock (husband, Ed), and Thomas Pinkerton (wife, Shauna); brothers-in-law Ray Bynum and Leland Pinkerton; and sisters-in-law Janet Moore and Linda Pinkerton. The love of Margie’s life were her grandchildren, Brandon, Landon, Laranda, Marci, Makayla, Jayton, Abby, Clayton, Kelcey, Payton, Ashley and Pryce. Margie also had nine great-grandchildren and one on the way, with many nieces, nephews, cousins and people who love her.
