1949–2025
Fort Fairfield & Lenoir City, TN – Paula Jo (Richardson) Michaud, 76, wife of the late Morris B. “Sonny” Michaud, passed away Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 3, 2025, at Park West Hospital, Knoxville, Tennessee, following an extended illness. She was born June 14, 1949 in Memphis, Texas, the daughter of Floyd J. and Alice (Geisler) Richardson. Paula Jo was a graduate of the Ralls, Texas school system and furthered her education at West Texas State University, and obtained an associate’s degree in accounting at the Northern Maine Technical College, Presque Isle, Maine.
She was married to Morris B. “Sonny” Michaud on December 31, 1971, and had been employed by Key Bank, Fort Fairfield, Maine, as a bookkeeper for Sage and Langley Law Offices, Fort Fairfield, Maine, and retired from the County Federal Credit Union in 2009. She had been a resident of Lenoir City, Tennessee since 2016.
Paula Jo was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother and was loved and will be missed by many. In addition to her parents, Paula Jo was predeceased by her husband Sonny on January 28, 2025; two sisters-inlaw, Deanna McPherson and Charlotte Hanson.
She is survived by two daughters, Kimberly J. Dannenberg and her husband, Carl, of Sedgwick, Maine, and Kiska J. Butler of Knoxville, Tennessee; one sister and brother-in-law, Karla and Greg Needham of Tulia, Texas; two grandchildren, Bryce and Reece Dannenberg of Sedgwick, Maine; and several nieces, nephews and many cousins with whom Paula Jo was very close.
Friends may call Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield, Maine. A funeral procession will depart from the funeral home on Friday, October 17, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. for the Northern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Caribou, Maine, for a committal service which will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. with Rev.
