MEMPHIS—W. E. “Billy” Lyles, Jr., 95, of Turkey died Monday, May 2, 2022 in Memphis, Texas.
Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2022 in Dreamland Cemetery in Turkey with Stuart Smith,officiating.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.
Mr. Lyles was born March 20, 1927 in Turkey, Texas, to Nettie and W. E. Lyles. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II as military police. He returned from war, then worked in road construction building roads and water lines for many years prior to his retirement. He was a lifetime resident of Turkey.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Patsy, on November 3, 2014; four brothers; and three sisters.
Survivors include his daughter, Beth Lyles, of Turkey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
