    In last week’s UIL 1A Region 1 Academic Contest held April 25 in Levelland at South Plains College, Guthrie students participated well. Congratulations go to all of the students for their efforts and accomplishments.

    In Current Issues and Events, Jordan Jernigan 41st place with 18 points.

    In Speech, the team placed 7th overall with 15 points.
