Body Silverton TAFE students had a great state conference. They had 10 students compete at the state level in Dallas. April finished up her term as the State Historian. Landry was top 5 in her competition.

Body Congratulations go to Guthrie’s FCCLA participants who qualified for State competition. Jewel Johnson and Hallie Irons took 1st place in Repurpose and Redesign, Level 2.

Paducah ISD calls bond election for May 2

Body According to a news release from the school district Feb. 24, Paducah ISD has voted to pursue a bond election to authorize $11.5 million for construction and renovation projects, as well as additional technology.The election has been called for May 2, 2026.

Galveston’s Elissa sailing to NewYork for 250th celebration

Body The 1877 “tall ship” Elissa, docked in Galveston Bay, will sail to New York City for the Fourth of July, the Texas Standard reported. The Galveston Historical Foundation purchased the ship in 1979, and it normally serves as a museum.
