Hall County approaching completion of historic courthouse in Memphis

Body After more than two years of construction work, during which Hall County staff in the county seat of Memphis have officed out of temporary headquarters nearby, the restoration of the county’s historic courthouse is nearing completion, according to County Judge Ray Powell.

State sales tax revenue totaled $4.2 billion in July

Body STAFF REPORTSAUSTIN— Acting Texas Comptroller Kelly Hancock said last week that state sales tax revenue totaled $4.19 billion in July, 4.9 percent more than in July 2024. The majority of July sales tax revenue is based on sales made in June and remitted to the agency in July.
