Body ã ã ã ã ã of Quitaque will hold their annual chicken-fried steak fund raiser on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 14. 2023 at the Hope Center from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. The Methodist women, assisted by others, will serve their famous chicken fried steak with all the trimmings.

Silverton sends 6 to State Track Meet May 12-13

Body The Silverton boys and girls track teams competed at the Regional track meet Friday and Saturday at South Plains College in Levelland. Eight athletes qualified to compete the State track meet in Austin later this month.

Body Quilting went really well Thursday. Carolyn was back with us and we had a great time visiting. Bobbye brought an apple pie for us to enjoy with our coffee, and we really enjoyed it. We are elated that we have had a few nice showers that have added up to about an inch.

Body In the 1960s, Sundays were reserved for visiting relatives. If we weren’t traveling to a relative’s house, they were coming to ours. It was tradition, after Sunday Mass, to gather the family into our station wagon and head over to visit relatives all over Milwaukee County.
