Body We “girls” had another good time quilting Thursday and we got a good bit done on Carolyn’s quilt. It’s good to get out and be with friends, plus, we accomplished some while we visited.There was a cool spell hit just as we were getting used to the warmer weather.

Body GUTHRIE OAP HONORS Guthrie High School’s One Act Play troupe competed Saturday at Frenship High School and, for only the second time in the school’s history, the play advanced to the State championship, to be held in Austin May 13.

Body On Saturday morning on Turkey’s Main Street, a car show followed the parade, which was delayed by a few minutes to let brief rain showers blow over. The rest of the day was sunny and pleasant, making for a variety of outdoor activities throughout the town.
REGIONAL UIL Paducah students competed at the UIL Regional Academic Meet last week at South Plains College and earned the following honors: in Current Issues and Events, 2nd Place Team (Jacob Ferguson, Zoe Wittekiend, Gabriel Angel); in Social Studies, 3rd Place Team (Zoe Wittekiend, Gabriel Angel, Jacob Keasler, Joshua Foster). Body The Valley Patriots have hired Crockett Gillmore as new head football coach. Born in Amarillo, he played for Bushland High School and then three years for the Baltimore Ravens in the NFL. John Stanaland, the previous football coach, is returning to Rotan ISD as an administrator.
