AUSTIN—If history is an indicator, Texas voters will likely go to the polls on Nov. 2 in underwhelming numbers to decide the fate of eight proposed amendments to the state’s constitution.

Silverton and Valley students participate in new health program

Young students in Briscoe and Hall Counties have begun a nine-week program called “Color Me Healthy” for pre-K and elementary grades. The program is available on Mondays for pre-K to second graders in Silverton and on Wednesdays for pre-K to kindergarteners at Valley.

Gotta have a latte love for Pumpkin Spice coffee

In a recent recipe I shared for Pumpkin Spice Oatmeal, I realized the liquid base for the recipe would make a perfect start to a warm or iced pumpkin spice latte. The milky base infused with creamy pumpkin and warm spices pairs well with a bold coffee. I serve mine warm with a rich cream topping.
