The thought of cabbage soup just doesn’t sound exciting to me. It makes me think of the old-school recipe that was used to aid in weight loss. We would pass the recipe around via email or photocopy long before the days of social media or recipe websites.

GOOD. Water clear; 81 degrees; 4.06 feet below pool. Crappie are good in 20-30 feet of water using minnows and jigs suspended over trees. Catfish are good up river using fresh cut bait and prepared baits. Report by The Bait Shop, Post, Texas. Greenbelt – GOOD.

FRIENDSHIP QUILTERS

We again sewed on Rose Mary’s antique quilt and had a really fun day. There is a lot of quilting to be done on it but we did get to roll both sides and will roll again soon. We have a coffee break at mid-morning and Rose Mary again brought donuts which we always enjoy and they don’t last long. Wow!

Karen and Todd Washington visited Matador Wednesday with her mother, Mrs. W.A. They were in route home after attending to business in San Angelo. Mrs. Janice Hughes had a medical appointment in Amarillo, Thursday.

I glanced at the large school clock above the blackboard. The big hand pointed to the four and the little hand was just past three. Twenty past three...another 10 minutes and I would be on my way home. Could I wait that long before I ate something?
