Flomot Homecoming 2023 set for Sat., July 1

Body According to resident Diane Washington, the annual Flomot Homecoming will be this Saturday, July 1, 2023, at the community center in Flomot. “Everyone that has lived in and around Flomot is invited to attend,” said Washington. Registration starts at 10 a.m.

Paxton impeachment trial set for Sept. 5

Body The Senate on Wednesday gave unanimous approval to a resolution requiring impeached Attorney General Ken Paxon to appear in person before the body on September 5th to answer charges laid out by the House.

Body MATADOR—Fifteen people were injured and four killed in a tornado that swept through Motley County around 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 21, destroying homes in Matador and leaving 26 people displaced. Eight local businesses suffered significant damage and 61 properties were affected.
