RAINBOW TROUT FISHING has been bolstered at Caprock Canyon’s Lake Theo as TPWD released 1,800 fish last week.

Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) transported 1,800 rainbow trout from a fishery in Electra, Texas for release into Lake Theo last week. Witnessed by several park employees including newly hired Park Interpreter, Natalie Smith, the event was quite the site to behold.

Wednesday afternoon, on Jan. 15 around 4:00 p.m., an 18-wheeler traveling through the steep curves of State Highway 256 just East of the roadside park in Briscoe County turned over, blocking both lanes of traffic.
