Body I relocated from Pittsburgh to Washington D.C. at age 18 in 1962 to attend college. This decision required that I find employment to help defray my education expenses. One of my employment opportunities was serving as a summer intern ambulance driver for the now defunct D.C.

Body AREA-BOUND The Silverton Owls (9-2) pulled off the upset of the No. 7 Amherst Bulldogs Friday night, 52-34, at Buffaloes Stadium in Petersburg. The Owls will face the Balmorhea Bears Thursday night at 6:30 p.m. in Borden County for the Area championship.

Body The long ride finally came to an end for Louis Bearden, who witnessed a lot of change while never losing his will to work during a career that spanned more than a half century. It was way back in 1963 when Bearden accepted a job at a local farm supply store in Floydada.
