Summer reading programs begin across the Caprock

Body Every summer, libraries across the Caprock coverage area rally to keep children interested in reading and involved in fun activities to fight the summer boredom.The Silverton Library is hosting “Colorful Carnival Summer Reading Magic” this year.

Turkey citizens voice questions in advance of June 5 town hall on Lancium project

Body The Turkey Economic Development Committee hosted an informal community conversation meeting at the Hotel Turkey on Saturday, May 31, in preparation for the Lancium Town Hall meeting scheduled for the following week. The Caprock Courier participated via audio broadcast.

Valley names Elliott superintendent finalist

Body Turkey– Quitaque Independent School District announced June 1 that Adam Elliott has been selected as the finalist in the search for the 2025-26 superintendent. The action was taken at a special called meeting of the board of trustees held on Sunday, June 1.
