CULINARY CERTIFIED Five students in Mrs. Andra Park culinary classes at Paducah ISD recently took the ServSafe Manager Certification exam, and passed.This certification which is good for five years, is needed in every restaurant kitchen and makes students employable during and beyond high school.

finished in 2nd place last week in its District UIL meet at Jayton, whose team finished first. Other schools competing were Paducah, Spur, Patton Springs and Motley County. Guthrie amassed 226 points in the competition.

District meet Valley earned 200 points to finish 3rd in Overall Sweepstakes in District. A number of Valley students advanced to Regionals, and the school also finished 3rd in Speech Team Sweepstakes and 2nd in Journalism Team Sweepstakes.
