Body We girls put up a quilt for Rose Mary and got started on it Thursday. It is an antique made with many scraps and an unusual pattern. Weenjoyedworkingon it, and Bobbye was able to be there until noon. She had broken a rib earlier and was not able to come after lunch.
VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION JoEtta Bumgardner was honored at the Matador Methodist Church council meeting last Wednesday for her almost 30 years of service to the church as chairman of the ministries committee. During that time, JoEtta served almost 300 meals, while also keeping the church decorated for holidays and special occasions. Church secretary Dvonna Grundy presented the award, and all church members applauded JoEtta for her servant’s heart. | COURTESY PHOTO
