Silverton’s Lady Owls have opened their basketball season, traveling to Guthrie to take on the Lady Jags last Friday, Nov. 7. The Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) has the Lady Owls picked fourth in their district.

Coach Bigham notches 200th win, Matadors district championship

The Motley County Matadors are the UIL District 2 champions in high school football at the conclusion of this season, winning the district 3-0. Losing only once their entire season by nine points to the Sands Mustangs, the Matadors are ranked the Class 1A Division 2 #7 team.
