Silverton rolled over the halfway mark of district play this last week. They hosted Nazareth at home on Tuesday, Dec. 7. The Lady Owls, taking on the TABC Class 1A #8 Swiftettes, lost 16-56 while the Owls lost 17-68.Friday, Dec. 10, Silverton travelled to Happy for another district header.

Happy New Year to all! We girls started the new year by quilting and we had a very good time, as usual. We also had exercise Friday but missed a couple or three, but we had fun anyway.I’m very sorry that we lost Nina Zell Martin and we were very sad.

We missed quilting this week but stayed home for family to come, and my girls came home but we met one grandson that came from Illinois at Tulia a couple of days later. They have a daughter that is really getting tall. She takes after her mother’s family, that all of them are very tall.
