Body August month of intense heatIntense heat scorched Motley County in August 2024, causing heat and fire alerts. The triple-digit temperatures reached 109 degrees. August 15 had stormy-weather alert with 50-mile-per-hour winds.

Body The Lady Jags hit the road for Lubbock Saturday, Aug. 24, traveling to compete in the LCU Rustbuster Relays. This meet showcased a field of 300 high school junior varsity and varsity girl runners, and the high school Lady Jags competed as a JV team.
