Body Sometimes you just have to settle. Ask me. The Camino de Santiago beckons. Most of us are never going to travel that famous well-worn pilgrimage route across northern Spain. My chances are slim as long as I stick with my non-pilgrimage husband. So I settled.

Making a business out of music

In the beginning…

Body As with many of you, Sunday school and Wednesday night children’s Bible classes always included the creation story. The figures placed on a felt board, the cutouts, and the coloring pages were mainstays of those 45-minute gatherings.

Marriage is supposed to be fun

Body I don’t know what the secret to a good marriage is. I only know I have a good one that has been fun, exciting and full of adventure. On our way to celebrate our 60th wedding anniversary in Santa Fe, we stopped for lunch at the Cowboy Café in Roswell.

Music to our ears

Body and appreciates all kinds of music, I have never been much of a concert goer. Just not a crowd person. If I were to tell my children that Captain & Tennille and Ray Stevens were my only two concerts for the longest time, they would have no clue who those people even were.

Paxton acquitted on all impeachment counts

Body AUSTIN— Ken Paxton has been reinstated as Texas attorney general after the Texas Senate on Saturday acquitted him of charges of bribery and misuse of office.

Body Kelly Draper of Llano is a retired professor of puppetry at Lamar University in Beaumont. He performed with his puppets at symphony orchestra concerts all over the country, illustrating the music to children.
