Turkey Fire Department gets first new truck in 40 years

Body The Turkey Fire Department has a brand new fire truck, and according to an announcement from the department on its Facebook page, it’s been an event four decades in the making, since the department had not taken delivery of a new truck since 1986.

Caprock area schools see changes with 2026 UIL realignment

Body The University Interscholastic League released its 2026-2028 realignments for football, basketball and volleyball competition Feb. 2. Silverton, Motley County, Valley (Turkey), Guthrie and Paducah experienced changes to their districts after the realignment.
